Gary Sheffield: 4 for 4, HR, run, 2 rbi
Sheffield is younger than me. But not by much.
He may fall into the category of players that had a horrendous April but will right himself and have a decent year (see Pujols, Soriano et al). The jury is still out though.
Just in this game, his average went up 35 points. Also, in the last 10 games he’s hit .378. Before you say it’s all because of his 4-4 game, I will say he had 3 other multi-hit games in that span.
So I do think Shef is showing signs of improvement.
Oh, Detriot won by a slim margin 3-2.
