Cleveland rightfielder Trot Nixon had his first career five-hit game in the Tribe’s 9-6 win. That effort raised his batting average 49 points. In the same game, Oriole catcher Ramon Hernandez banged out 4 hits with 4 rbis alas, in a losing cause.

In NL action, Phillie outfielder Pat Burrell was 4 for 4… in walks. It was the second time Burrell had 4 walks in a game. The first time was in 2005.
