Illinois Rebounds with Win Against Indiana

i.gif The University of Illinois baseball team traveled to Bloomington, Indiana for a 4 game set against the University of Indiana Hoosiers. After losing their last two games, Illinois needed a win badly Friday night and that’s what they got as the good guys won 8-3.

Chris Robinson helped out with 2 dingers as well as back-to-back homers by Dusty Bensko and Drew Davidson. Pitcher Brian Blomquist allowed 2 runs in 7 1/3 innings and got the win.

More importantly, the glovemen held it together and there were no costly errors.

The win keeps the team in first place in the Big Ten with a 10-3 conference record.

There is a doubleheader on Saturday and a game on Sunday to close out the 4 game set.

Good luck, team!
