Continuing on yesterday’s leadoff man theme, Sox OF Scott Podsednik did what was expected of him and more. When the top man in the lineup is up five times and gets on base each time, it’s no surprise that the Sox won this game. Of course, it helps when you have guys like Thome to drive him home (4 rbis).
Ironically, Pod wasn’t the only player to walk 4 times yesterday. Tribe SS Jhonny Peralta did so against the Royals.
