Chipper likes the fast lane

Apparently, Toronto, Canada didn’t suit Atlanta Brave Chipper Jones as he spent a couple days there as part of the World Baseball Classic.  There just wasn’t enough to do

“We stayed in Toronto for a week and played three games. I don’t know if you ever stayed in Toronto, but it’s not exactly Las Vegas.  To say that we were plucking our eyebrows out one at a time would be an understatement.”

I have no sympathy for Mr Jones.  He must have no creativity or wherewithal.  He sounds like my nine-year daughter when I turn off the TV.  “I’m bored… I don’t know what to do”

The only difference is that after a few minutes, my daughter can find something to occupy her time (and she doesn’t embarrass herself by talking to the media about it).

Not only that, I’ve been to Toronto and maybe I’m easy to please but the town seemed to offer a lot.

Get a life, Jonsie.

  1. You’re right, Jones sounds like a loser. There’s plenty to do in Toronto on any day of the week. If there’s enough to do in Regina on any given day, in Toronto you should have more than twice the choice too.

  2. Has Chipper ever been to the Brass Rail on Younge Street in Toronto? Nicky V & myself can testify to the top notch adult entertainment featured at this Club. Larry plays in Atlanta for crying out loud!

  3. Thanks for your responses. It seems like reapiclng WSAB is not an option as I have also received some emails about wanting to keep it. I think for now the best solution is to keep the site as is but include my WAR in the downloadable .csv file (thanks for the tip, Jonathan).I appreciate the interest in my WAR system, especially given the amount of time I devoted to it. I ultimately chose to replace it with BB-Ref’s because I honestly think it’s a superior system. The biggest difference in the two (and with most WAR systems) is fielding, and that’s why I continue to display the DRA numbers. I hope that a downloadable file will suffice for those wanting to use my WAR.Lastly, I’m always willing to provide anyone with a customized spreadsheet with any data that may not be available on the site. Just send me an email and I’ll be happy to help out.
