Friday, the US Postal Service came out with new stamps in honor of four baseball greats.  Chosen were Roy Campanella, Hank Greenberg, Mel Ott, and Mickey Mantle.

  1. I saw this in the newspaper, VERY excited, can’t wait to get them!!! I’ve got the set that includes Jackie Robinson, Eddie Collins, Rogers Hornsby, Christy Mattewson, Ty Cobb, George Sisler, Rogers Hornsby, Mickey Cochrane, Babe Ruth, Lefty Grove, Walter Johnson, Roberto Clemente, Tris Speaker, Cy Young, Jimmie Foxx, Pie Traynor, Satchel Page, Honus Wagner, Josh Gibson, Dizzy Dean, and Lou Gehrig. I’ve also got the postage stamps that feature Great American Ballparks such as Ebbets Field – Brooklyn, Tiger Stadium – Detroit, Crosley Field – Cincinnati, Fenway Park – Boston, Yankee Stadium – New York, Comiskey Park – Chicago, Forbes Field – Pittsburgh, Wrigley Field – Chicago, Polo Grounds – New York City, and Shibe Park – Philedelphia.
