Atlanta rookie starter Kyle Davies continues to impress anyone paying atention. Today against the Pirates, he went 7 2/3 allowing no runs. Relatively speaking, he didn’t dominate rather he spread out 6 hits and 4 walks. All the same, no runs.
Unfortunately for him, he didn’t get the win. Reliever John Foster got the win when greybeard Julio Franco drove in the winning run with an rbi double in the top of the 9th.
For the season, Davies has allowed 2 earned runs in 23 1/3 innings.
